Getting started with MyERPZ CRM

Set up your organization, invite your team, configure your pipeline and create your first lead in MyERPZ CRM.

This walks through the first hour in MyERPZ CRM: creating your organization, inviting people, configuring your pipeline and entering your first real lead.

1. Create your organization

Everything in MyERPZ belongs to an organization. It is the boundary your data lives inside — records in one organization are never visible from another.

You will be asked for your organization name and, optionally, a short identifier used in the interface. Both can be changed later.

2. Configure your pipeline before inviting anyone

Do this first. Changing stages after your team has entered fifty deals means re-classifying fifty deals.

The default stages follow a common sales flow:

Lead → Qualification → Follow-up → Meeting / Site Visit
     → Opportunity → Booking → Payment → Customer

Rename them to match what your business actually says. If you do not run site visits, remove that stage. Stages your team does not recognise get skipped, which makes pipeline reports meaningless.

3. Set up roles, then invite people

Permissions are granted through roles, not to individual users. Define the roles you need first — typically something like a sales user who sees their own records, a manager who sees the team’s, and an administrator.

Then invite people and assign each a role. Inviting first and fixing permissions afterwards means a window where people can see more than they should.

4. Create your first lead

Use a real one, not a test record. Test records have a way of surviving into production data.

Fill in the contact details and assign an owner. Then do the part that matters: log an activity and set a follow-up date. A lead with no next step is how deals go quiet, and it is the specific problem the CRM exists to solve.

5. Import the rest

Before bulk import, read preparing your data for migration. Cleaning and deduplicating beforehand takes an hour and saves months of distrust.

Import a batch of about twenty records first, check them, then do the rest.
